Do you think religion is important ? should we raise our children with the beliefs we have as adults or should we wait and let them choose for themselves ? How important is religion to you ?

I feel that it is important to raise our children with the religious beliefs that we have in our family.  Once they are older, they can decide for themselves what their beliefs are.

My children have all gone to Sunday School for years until they were confirmed. After this, it is their choice whether they want to attend church or not.  This is when they are considered an adult in the eyes of the church, so they are able to decide for themselves their beliefs.

If you raise a child with no idea of religion you have chosen their belief for them.

I like that letting them decide when they are older whether they want to continue with the religion you practice yourself. I am raising my 2 children this way and as soon as they are older thye can choose to keep the same faith or make other decisions.
